This is really beautifully written and by a person who resides outside india,I really appreciate the amount of knowledge and enthusiasm this person has for indian culture and festivals, infact all of priyanks's blog are informative and more over reflect a spirit of true indian....it is really amazing when we indians are do not value our culture & are hardly concerned about the way of celebrating festivals...the writer being an non residential Indian has so much respect and enthu. for his culture....keep it up .....we really need people like you

And for all of those who think that information in the blogs are not that great....I think we should appreciate that whatever knowledge writer has she has tried to share it all for everybody's benefit
For all the "FUNKY" Indians who feel there culture is trash and India is a "SUCKING" place I have only one thing to say "Inse Kuch Seekho"
